Any basic marketing/branding class will tell you that one of the most important things you can do as a business owner is to define your “ideal” client. You’re supposed to get really specific in order to better market yourself or your product and attract the right buyer. What music do they listen to? Where do they shop? What do they do for fun? How much money do they make? What brand of toilet paper do they use? (Okay, maybe not THAT specific, but you get the idea.)
Dave and I have a list. However, we’ve really struggled coming up with answers to most of the above questions and end up with a list of random tidbits.
Sense of humor, appreciation of Tolkien and Harry Potter, lovers of music, art and pretty things, laid back, fun, funny, witty, silly, in love, kind, big dreamers, outside the box thinkers. (just to name a few)
When Tera contacted us, we were in the process of redefining, in order to really hone in our marketing efforts as we do every 6 months. As she and I emailed back and forth, I started to get a picture of what kind of couple they are. But it wasn’t until we met up with them in North Park for their engagement session that we saw so much more. Right then and there, we realized that we had found our couple! They share this incredible energy. Their love is palpable and can be felt across a room. Plus, they laughed at my stupid jokes. That in and of itself is a miracle, guys. I’m a dork, Dave’s a dork, and yes, we are proud. Tera and Adam GOT us and we got them. We found our couple.
Adam is a DJ for the radio station 91x and they both have a deep appreciation for music, so it was a given that we shot part of their session in a record store! We also had them fill out our couples questionnaire, and their answers are weaved in and out of this post. Love like theirs doesn’t come along every day, so we are so grateful to them for letting us document it. We give you, Tera + Adam. <3
