Over the past couple of months, through a miraculous turn of events, we were approved to rent the most incredible home in the San Diego Country Estates, just outside of Ramona! To say we’ve found our happy place is quite the understatement! We’re still close to our favorite city on the planet, still less than an hour from our favorite beaches, yet get to live in a rural area where our kids can roam free and truly thrive. We have almost a half acre with citrus and fruit trees, rose bushes and… Read More »
Cameron & Kiddos | San Diego Family Photographer
You guys, our friend Cameron is one incredible Mama. She not only does a great job of raising these 3 cuties on her own, but she is also the owner of Hitch & Knot, a wedding and event planning company here in San Diego. We met her on a styled shoot we were part of and are so grateful we did! We met up at her mom’s house in Point Loma for this session, her backyard looking out onto the water. The combination of the little white wooden dock… Read More »
Joe + Riley’s Yacht Wedding | San Diego Wedding Photographer
On the first day of 2016, aboard the “Black Gold”, we departed the dock of the San Diego Yacht Club and witnessed Joe and Riley’s union with a Point Loma sunset beyond. They are both sailors and Riley is from Point Loma, so this was very special to them. Seriously, you can’t get more romantic than that! These guys have become such good friends to us and we are so so grateful to have them in our lives:) Here’s to many more adventures to come!
Joe + Riley (and Whitney too!)| San Diego Yacht Club Engagement and Family Photographer
We had the pleasure of covering Riley’s Mother’s Point Loma backyard wedding last summer and that’s where we met Joe and Riley. With both of them having a sailing background, it just made sense to take their pictures at the San Diego Yacht Club! Riley’s little girl, Whitney even got to join in on the fun:) Joe is such a great father figure to Whitney, you wouldn’t even know they aren’t blood. We adore these three so much. We think you will too!
Valentine’s Day Family Session | San Diego Family Photographer
What could possibly be cuter than this little family’s valentine’s themed session? We had so much fun doing this and I think I fell in love with their two little guys! Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays. If we could convince all of our clients to send Valentine’s Day cards instead of Christmas Cards, we’d be pretty satisfied:) (and less overwhelmed during the crazy holiday season!) Would you consider switching to Valentine’s Day cards? Let us know in the comments!
Presidio Park Family Session | San Diego Family Photographer
This family! The perfect example of how to have a relaxed and fun family pictures session! I SO want to be this Momma when I grow up. We got to the location that we had planned (Mission De Alcala) and unfortunately they wouldn’t let us photograph inside. Dad forgot hair gel and kids were missing shoes. But this rad Mom just rolled with it! Barefoot kids? No problem! We love this family and can’t wait to do this again in the fall! (with… Read More »
Christmas Baby | San Diego Family Photographer
This Star Wars/Disney/ELF loving family got the best Christmas gift one could ever receive – a precious new baby boy! I, Ashley, got to go to their home and get to know them and spend time with precious baby Chaz and big brother Liam. What a gift! Congratulations you guys! Thank you for allowing me into your home and lives:)
Seaworld Field Trip| A Day in the Life
After 3 years of living in San Diego, we finally got the opportunity to go to Seaworld in November! The charter school we homeschool through hosts some really sweet field trips. The morning we were to go, our 10 year old ocean-obsessed son, Jared woke up not feeling so well. He tried to convince us that he would be fine as he vomited into the commode, but we knew better than to take him out that day. So, Dave stayed home with him while I… Read More »
Tera + Adam | North Park Engagement Session
Any basic marketing/branding class will tell you that one of the most important things you can do as a business owner is to define your “ideal” client. You’re supposed to get really specific in order to better market yourself or your product and attract the right buyer. What music do they listen to? Where do they shop? What do they do for fun? How much money do they make? What brand of toilet paper do they use? (Okay, maybe not THAT specific, but you get… Read More »
Miranda + Travis | Engagement Session Revisit
This is quite a throwback for us! Miranda was a senior model for me back in my first 2 years of photography, about 5 years ago! We shot this engagement session in Murray, Utah shortly before moving to San Diego in 2013. We traveled back to Utah again that fall to shoot their wedding. Their pup is now all grown up and Miranda is expecting their first child very soon! We love these two so much. We hope to be able to photograph their little family… Read More »
